Delete your account

You can delete your Adagely account and the data associated with it at any time, free of charge and without having to give a reason.

1. From the app

1. Open the Adagely app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete my account, then I understand, continue.
4. Type the word DELETE to confirm, then validate.

Before deleting your account, you can download a copy of your data underProfile → Privacy & Data → Export as JSON or Download Archive. Deletion is permanent: your account cannot be restored.

2. Without the app

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email tohello@adagely.comfrom the address linked to your account, with the subject “Adagely account deletion”. If you write from another address, include your account's email address: we may ask you to confirm that it belongs to you. We handle the request within one month at most and confirm the deletion by email.

You can also use the same channel to request the deletion of only some of your data (for example your journal entries) without deleting your account.

3. What is deleted

• your account and sign-in details: email address, first and last name, profile picture, account identifier;
• your preferences and settings: language, theme, reminder time, interests, onboarding answers;
• your content: daily journal, moods, share messages, challenges, journey reactions and free-text entries, journey notes and summaries;
• your activity: quotes viewed, liked or shared, journey progress.

This data is erased within 30 days at most of your request.

4. What may be kept, and for how long

• The history of your consent choices, in anonymised form, so that we can demonstrate GDPR compliance.
• Recommendation logs, anonymised, deleted no later than 90 days after they are created.
• Our server's technical logs (requests associated with your account identifier), deleted no later than 30 days after they are created.
• Data already sent to OpenAI for personalisation, which this provider may retain for up to 30 days.
• Error reports (Sentry, PostHog) linked to your account identifier: at most 90 days for Sentry, at most 12 months for PostHog.
• Backup copies of our database, overwritten at the end of their cycle, within 3 months at most.
• Anonymous usage statistics, which are not linked to your account and cannot identify you.
• Any data we are required to keep under a legal obligation, for the period set by law.

The app offers no in-app purchases at this time. If you ever subscribe, deleting your account will not cancel the subscription automatically: you will need to cancel it from the App Store or Google Play.
